The Muskingum County Water Department has issued a boil advisory for some area customers. Officials say if you live at 3615 West Pike going east to 3255 National Road you are affected. The boil advisory also includes all of Wildwood Drive and Kopchak Road. Water may be discolored so you should refrain from doing laundry for a few days.
County officials say the problem is being caused by a water main break on the National Road.
The Maysville Regional Water District is also announcing a boil advisory for some of its customers. If you live on Potts Lane, Coopermille Road, Old Coopermill Road, Ridge Road, Archer Lane, Meadowfarm Church Road, George Road or any small side connecting roads you are also affected. This boil advisory remains in effect until further notice. The water district is asking resident to also refrain from doing laundry. A water main break is the cause of this advisory too.
