Following the flag event on the Y-bridge, crowds moved down Main Street for more entertainment. Cheerleaders from across the area came to strut their stuff for Ohio’s birthday. Angela Baker, Muskingum Cheer Academy coach said kids of all ages from the MCA cheered this afternoon. Organizers wanted to have the highflying athletes since they have been a crowd favorite in Zanesville. During I Love Livin’ in Zanesville, they were the top draw according to organizers. The cheerleaders were not in competition for any particular prize, mainly to give the crowd a show and warm up for upcoming tournaments.
