The federal government has awarded a $1.1 million bonus to Ohio’s adoption program. The bonus is for increasing the number of children who were placed in homes last year. More than 90% of the children adopted last year through the adoption program were special-needs children. The bonus will be split among the county agencies, which use the money to recruit and provide support to new adoptive families.
