You may think you have endless piles of laundry to do sometimes, but wait until you hear about the people at Economy Linen. They do almost 20 million pounds a year. And this year, they are celebrating twenty years of business. The company honored the hard work of their employees with face painting, games and live animals. They also had plenty of food and bingo at the party. For the management, they recall the drastic growth of the company. Vice President George Dube said they started out with 13 employees and have grown to over 150 workers. Economy Linen got started in Zanesville doing laundry for Good Samaritan when they went through reconstruction. They have since spread to Cambridge and Columbus. But Dube remembers the early days, when the hospital’s construction was ahead of pace and created a pinch. Economy Linen stored their autoclaves until the hospital had room. Over 100 employees and their families enjoyed the festivities this afternoon. Luckily, nobody had to do any laundry.
