The Licking County Sheriff’s Department continues to search for an escaped inmate. Officials in several counties are searching for 27-year-old Michael Boring of Columbus. Boring was last seen Monday afternoon in Newark, after he jumped from a work truck stopped at a traffic light. According to Captain Rod Mitchell with the Sheriff’s Department, Boring is described as a white male, standing 5’10” tall, and weighing 165 pounds. He has short brown hair, blue eyes and a go-tee. He also has a recognizable cobra tattoo on his left arm. Mitchell said Boring got a ride from Newark to the Granville area, where according to witnesses, he continued to flee in a bluish dump truck. Boring is now facing felony charges for escaping. Anyone with information is asked to call the Licking County Sheriff’s Department at 740-349-6400.
