More than two years after the 9-11 attacks, airport security remains a top priority at the Toledo Airport. In addition to major upgrades within its screening process since 2001, Toledo Express has just installed Bio-Metric Technology. Bio-Metric hand readers are now posted outside all of the airport’s operation areas. Every employee must scan his or her hand to gain access to secure locations. Toledo Express is only the second airport in the nation to use the high-tech devices; the San Francisco Airport was the first.
