Former Congressman James Traficant Junior is no longer considering running for president from behind bars. After two months of collection donations, the Presidential Exploratory Committee said they did not raise the $100,000 needed to qualify for federal matching funds. Traficant was convicted last year on federal racketeering, bribery and tax evasion charges. He’s serving an eight-year prison sentence at a Pennsylvania prison.
