An escaped Licking County inmate is back in police custody. 27-year-old Michael Boring escaped Monday after jumping off a work release truck in Newark. He then got a ride to Granville where he continued to flee in a stolen dump truck. Boring was arrested Wednesday night on the west side of Columbus. Police say Boring only had ten more days left on his original sentence. He remains in the Franklin County Jail and faces additional charges from the Columbus Police Department including possession of crack/cocaine, possession of marijuana, falsification, and open container in a motor vehicle.
