Sunrise Bowling celebrates 40 years of strikes and spares in Zanesville. The lanes are a family affair, with original ownership dating back five generations. Sunrise opened in 1963, but the Prindle family has been operating bowling alleys since the 1930s. Current owner Jason Prindle said the family aspect of the business makes this anniversary special. Joe and Dot Tom have been bowling in the mixed league for all 40 of those years. All three of their children and their spouses have bowled with them at some point or another in the league as well. Sunrise Bowling has gone through drastic change over the years and has recently installed a computer aided tracking system. Sunrise is one of 20 places in the country with this technology.
