Thousand move into Muskingum County for the largest pre-civil war reenactment in the country. The Eastern Primitive Rendezvous was held in Ohio this year because of the bicentennial. Different than Civil War reenactments, there was not battle to show. These re-enactors do this as a hobby, living exactly like people did before 1840. Organizer Don Davies said they have people ranging from doctors to ditch diggers participating. Davies and his wife Tracy helped plan this reenactment for over two years. The group will be camping for ten days, which began Friday. The public was welcome yesterday and today to ask questions, shop and look at the activities going on such as gun demonstrations.
