Muskingum County commissioners reinstate a fired County Home employee late Monday afternoon...But will she take the job. Former Director of Nursing Sharon Mozena was dismissed two weeks ago by Director Rebecca Cooper. Since then, employees and patients protested the firing. A fact finder was appointed and provided a report to the commissioners regarding Mozena’s performance at the County Home. Muskingum County commissioner Don Madden said the information showed Mozena is a good nurse, but rated poorly as an administrator. The commissioners met in three executive sessions Monday morning and debated over the issue all day. Madden said they tried to be supportive of Cooper’s decision as director and Mozena’s supervisor. However, they felt they needed to take a second look at the dismissal. Mozena would return to County Home as a nurse only. She will no longer have administrative duties at the facility. No word on whether Mozena will accept the change and go back to work at the County Home.
