Construction begins for some new businesses going up on the north end of Zanesville. If you’ve been wondering why things are changing by the mall on Maple Avenue, it’s because three new stores are scheduled to open soon. Tractor Supply will be the first, weather permitting. It is slated to open its doors on February 1, 2004. The chain has been trying to come to Zanesville for five years and has recently gotten the permits to put up a 2300 square foot facility. Gordon Foods is the only other store officially moving in. The third area is set to be a restaurant, but developer Bunnell Hill has given out no names.
