A Guernsey County man is facing murder charges. Sheriff Mike McCauley says that 41-year-old William Berger of Kimbolton is charged with one count of murder with a gun specification. The sheriff says Berger is accused of shooting 36-year-old Charles Touchstone at their Johnstown Run Road address early Tuesday morning. McCauley says Touchstone suffered one gunshot from a .45 caliber handgun. A motive has not yet been established, but investigators say it all started early Tuesday morning when deputies received a 9-1-1 call concerning a domestic disturbance. After an investigation, nothing was found. But an hour-and-half later several 9-1-1 calls from the same address occurred and that’s when deputies found Touchstone’s body. Two couples live in the house. Bond for Berger was set at 250,000 dollars. A preliminary hearing is set for October 16th. Berger is locked up in the Guernsey County jail.
