According to federal figures, Cincinnati’s airport has tied for the costliest airfare in the country. Passengers flying out of Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport paid 56 percent more than the national average, as adjusted for flight length and other variables. That’s according to a transportation department analysis released yesterday, October 10th. Cincinnati is the second-largest hub for Atlanta-based Delta Airlines. It’s now tied with White Plains, New York, which has long held the top spot on the report. On average, Cincinnati travelers pay about 225 dollars a trip White Plains travelers pay 242 dollars on average, but their flights generally are longer. Some travelers say they have given up on the Cincinnati airport.
