Buckeye Egg Farm is coming closer to shutting down. The Ohio Environmental Review Appeals Commission Wednesday upheld Agriculture Director Fred Dailey’s order to start closing down barns at the state’s largest egg producer. The Commission says Dailey acted properly when he revoked 12 existing permits and denied eleven permit applications in July. But since the original order called for barn closures to start in August, the panel ordered Dailey to set a new date. Dailey said he would do so soon. Buckeye Egg has farms in Licking, Hardin and Wyandot Counties.
