The Ohio Senate unanimously approved legislation to help the state combat bio-terrorism. The measure was approved one day after clearing the Senate Finance Committee on a partisan 9-to-3 vote. The House approved the bill in different form and will have to agree to Senate changes. Representative Jimmy Stewart, a Republican from Athens, wrote the bill. It’s patterned after a model act devised by the Centers for Disease Control.
