Nursing homes aren’t always recognized in a positive light, but today one local facility receives special honors. Paul Brosie threw a celebration today in appreciation for his care at the Willow Haven nursing home. He was told he would never walk again, but after six weeks of therapy, Brosie is back on his feet. He credits his full recovery to the staff members that took care of him. A spaghetti dinner, live music and a special recognition plaque were all part of Brosie’s way of giving thanks. The level of gratitude is overwhelming for administrators and staff members. Brosie’s wife is also happy that she’s able to stand by her husband after doing so for 48 years.
