The 73rd annual state NAACP convention is being held in Muskingum County. The group is focusing on many issues including: voter empowerment, the criminal justice system and empowering youth. The NAACP is not only concentrating on statewide issues, but is also hoping to accomplish a lot for this community. At least 300-500 people are expected to attend the convention including Ohio’s Lieutenant Governor over the weekend. The event is being held at the Zanesville Holiday Inn.
