A meeting of the Ohio Board of Regents reviews how New Bakery in Zanesville used its grant money. New Bakery received a grant, which is worth up to $40,000. The Ohio Board of Regents is paying half of the training costs for the company’s workers. New Bakery is using the money in three areas: on the job training, safety training, and computer training. Robert Johnson of the Ohio Board of Regents said New Bakery represents everything they were looking for with this grant. The training program has been going on for months and plant manager Doug Windeler considers the training a success thus far.
