There’s good news at Miami University’s Hamilton Campus. School officials say a private donor’s gift of $3.3 million will allow Miami to build and operate a botanical conservatory on the campus.
Officials say the 7,000 square foot building will allow the University to expand its programs in Horticulture, Greenhouse Management and Landscape Technology.
The Richard Fitton Family of Hamilton, a longtime supporter of Miami University, donated the money. Construction of the conservatory is to begin this spring, with completion in the fall of 2004.
