The severe winter weather can be tough on our four legged friends, and leaving them outside in the very cold temperatures can be dangerous.

If you must leave you pet outside, limit time spent in harsh conditions, and try using a de-icer, which can be found at a pet supply store, in your pet’s water bowl.

Keep the shelter small so the pet’s body heat can warm it up, and heavily insulated with blankets, padding and throw rugs.
A shelter off the ground can prevent moisture from building up, and keeps heat in.

Some more tips, consider dressing your pet in a warm sweater, or jacket and be mindful of anti-freeze in your driveways, it’s poisonous and your pet can burn its paws.
