The floods of 2004 are now being gauged in terms of dollars in Morgan County.
The Morgan County Emergency Management Agency says preliminary infrastructure damage assessments stand at just over 700,000 dollars.
Public Information Officer Keith Spare says the estimated economic loss to business is around 300,000 dollars.
Spare says that’s a grand total of over 1,000,000 dollars in losses to the community from the January floods.
The E-M-A is in the process of trying to get state and federal disaster aid to offset some of the losses.
