Veteran's Day Parade in Downtown Zanesville
Even the rain could not stop people from attending the Veteran’s Day Parade in downtown Zanesville Saturday.
The event this year had a record-high 121 entries and took participants about two and a half hours to complete.
The parade included antique cars, three high school bands, both the fire and police departments, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, but people were not the only participants.
“I’ve got two 4-H groups that have got horses and llamas,” comments co-chairman Bud Johnson.
Everyone had one reason why they braved the bad weather Saturday.
“To support the veterans,” says Kompany Dance member and parade participant Marleigh Hofmann.
“To honor the veterans that have served for our country,” explains Boy Scout and parade participant Christopher Sheline.
