The search is over for a 14-year-old Zanesville High School student who didn't return home after school on Tuesday.
According to Detective Randy Ritchason, Christina Ford and 22-year-old Michael Wutzler the second turned themselves in at the Zanesville Police Department Thursday night.
Ritchason says the two had traveled to South Carolina
"We had an idea of where they were heading. When they got to where they were heading of course the people down there found out what was going on and turned around and brought them straight back here to Ohio and straight to the Zanesville Police Department," he says.
When Wutzler and Ford arrived at the police station they were immediately placed under arrest."The juvenile was taken to JDC and the adult was locked-up here at the city jail. At this time Michael Wutzler II has been charged with two counts of interfering with custody, both felony charges," says Ritchason.
Wutzler appeared in Zanesville Municipal Court Friday where he plead not-guilty. He's being held in the Zanesville City Jail on a $10,000 bond. The case will be bound over to the Muskingum County Common Pleas Court if Wutzler is indicted by the grand jury on Wednesday.
Ford is charged with one count of being an unruly juvenile. She had a detention hearing Friday in juvenile court.
