Red Cross Hometown Heroes Named

The Muskingum Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross is calling 12 individuals and one dog Hometown Heroes.

The candidates were nominated by family, friends, or colleagues and were chosen by an independent committee.

Marlene Greten is this year's Health Care Hero.

Muskingum County Sheriff's Office Captain Steve Welker is this year's Work Place Hero.

Zanesville Police Patrolman Mike Schiele and K-9 Bosco are the Public Safety Award recipients for their actions on August 23rd's shooting incident.

Joey Osborn is named this year's Youth Hero.

Dean Littick is this year's Senior Adult Hero.

Alice Sines is named the Faith in Action Hero.

James McLaughlin is awarded as the Education Hero.

Jim Mickey is the Perry County Hero.

Stephanie Adkins is this year's Morgan County Hero.

Becki Kelso is named Hero to Pets.

Bud Johnson is awarded the Military Hero, and Daniel Hennessey is the Muskingum County Hero.

The Red Cross will pass out the awards on Friday, November 13th at the North Terrance Church of Christ. It's a breakfast ceremony that will start at 7:30 a.m.
