It happened just before 10:30 p.m. Thursday at 1369 Oliver Road.

The Central Ohio Joint Fire District arrived to find the home heavily engulfed in flames and called for back up from several local fire departments. Knox cCounty Sheriff David Barber says the home is a total loss.

The body of a male, which hasn't been identified, was found inside the home and has been transported to the Licking County Coroner's Office for an autopsy.

The homeowner, Deanna Hurst, was not home at the time of the fire.
