Reaction to Handling of Gas Leak

Philo residents who live near the Rockies Express Pipeline are back in their homes after a gas leak near Irish Ridge Road on Saturday, but some are still on edge.

Muskingum County Commissioner, Brian Hill, says that is completely understandable.

"I'm sure it made them nerous. It would make me as well. Again, I think the responders-as in any kind of accident-responded well and did their jobs. I guess that would help me feel somewhat settled, " says Hill.

Hill says it's unfortunate something malfuntioned at that particular compressor station.

"It's a huge project. I'm sure it's hard to go thousands of miles across this country and not have something like this happen. It's just unfortunate that it happened here in Muskingum County, " says Hill.

No one was injured in the incident.

Hill says Rockies Express Pipeline representatives are working to address exactly what happened.

The Rockies Express Pipeline is about 17 hundred miles long and extends through eight states.
