An Ohio University research team will be part of the development of a new drug that could have major benefits in the health community.

The National Institutes of Health is granting a more than two million dollar grant to the bio-tech firm Interthyr Corporation, which is partnering with Ohio University.

The money will go toward research in the creation of a drug that would be used in pancreatic cancer treatments and treatments of autoimmune diseases, such as psoriasis and diabetes.
