About 60 area students are getting some early Christmas presents this year.
The Zanesville Kiwanis Club held its annual Kids Christmas Party this afternoon.
The Kiwanis Club sent invitations to every elementary school in the county, asking them to choose five to six less fortunate children, and members picked up the kids and drove them to the Welcome Center for pizza, music, gifts, and a visit from both Santa Clause and one of his reindeer.
"It's just such a warm feeling in your heart. This is the time of year for giving anyway. The holidays, of course, getting presents is te great part, but I know for me and our club, we get more to give, " says Event Coordinator Sarah Browning.
Each child got about 50 dollars in toys and clothes.
"It seems like legos is a big thing this year. I had a lot of lego sets and the High School Musical/Hannah Montana fad has been what we've seen off a lot of lists for the little girls, " says Browning.
Browning says Kiwanis members had a great time hitting the stores to shop for all the kids.
