The Muskingum County Commissioners held a sealed bid opening Thursday morning for the Stillwell Bridge near Adams Mills, but no bidders attended. Commissioner John Bates says County Engineer, Doug Davis, is now looking at the next step.
"There was two people that were going to bid on it and he is going to find out what they were going to bid and if it was under $2,500 then he actually going to see if he can get it torn down himself," says Commissioner Bates.
If the bids are under $2,500 dollars the county does not have to open the project for bids again. Instead a private company can be used to tear down the bridge.
