As the new year quickly approaches, many are making resolutions to start over and get fit in 2010.
The Fieldhouse, in Zanesville, is already seeing an increase in memberships.
Fieldhouse fitness trainer, Alaina Amicone says making that lifestyle change is not just a physical one but an emotional one.
"If you are a mother, you eventually want to be a grandmother. You want to live to see your children have children. The same way with fathers, they want to be able to see their kids be D-1 athletes or even just excelling in school. If you don't start now, your children are going to see that ok, mom and dad sit on the couch and don't exercise. Why should I?" says Amicone.
The Fieldhouse wants to help you with that goal. It's holding its "Best Loser" challenge, which is inspired by NBC's the "Biggest Loser."
Amicone says the challenges' past winners have had amazing results.
"She said that her socks do fit. That is the only thing that fits her. Nothing else fits. Last year's winner just came in last night, and he was working out with one of our trainers. He was just glowing. He looks 30 years younger, and he's so happy, " says Amicone.
The winner of this year's challenge will get a prize package valued at five thousand dollars.
