The Granville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a body found in a ditch off Interstate 70 westbound in Licking County Monday afternoon.
According to Lt. Lawrence Roseboro, motorists called 911 around 3 p.m. after spotting the man's body just west of Hebron near mile post 125.
"Apparently some individuals were driving by and saw what appeared to be a body. We responded to the scene along with local emergency personnel and determined it was in fact a body," said Roseboro.
The Licking County Coroner pronounced the man dead. Traffic on Interstate 70 was slowed as authorities, including the crash reconstruction unit, investigated the scene.
"What we do know is we have a white male. Approximately 5'10" 350 pounds, he was wearing a purple blue outdoor jacket, a black toboggan and black sweatpants and white athletic shoes," he said.
Lt. Roseboro is asking anyone who knows of someone with that description who's whereabouts are unknown to call the Granville Post of the Highway Patrol at 927-0065.
