The Muskingum County Health Department is warning residents that a third wave of H1N1 is likely.
The health department is going into schools and businesses to vaccinate students, but with the closure of schools Friday, the health department held a free H1N1 clinic at the Colony Square Mall. Public Information Officer, Jennifer Hiestand says the county has enough vaccine for all residents, it is just a matter of getting out into the public. Pat Chambers got himself and his ten-year-old daughter vaccinated after seeing how many children were sick in her elementary school.
"Yea I worry about her catching it at school and so you should get it, a lot of people, a lot of kids missing because of it," tells Pat Chambers.
Even his daughter, Diana, noticed how many of her friends were sick.
"Yea and I haven't really gotten my shot yet and my dad said I should get it because it has been going around the school," says Diana.
The Muskingum County Health Department says they are taking appointments for the H1N1 shot. To make an appointment call (740) 454-9741. Or go to the the health department website at www.ZMCHD.org to see where the next clinics will be for the H1N1 shot.
