A downtown Zanesville building suffers minor damage after a two car accident.

It happened around 2 p.m. at the intersection of 6th and Main streets.

Lieutenant Tony Courey says 33-year-old James Anderson of New Lexington was traveling north on 6th Street in the left lane when his passenger door was struck by 44-year-old Beverly Arndt of Marengo traveling north on 6th Street in the right lane. It caused Anderson and his two passengers to strike a traffic light pole. Arndt's vehicle ended up striking the Ohio Equities building at 535 Main Street. Courey says it caused front wall damage to the building and broke the building's glass door.

He says Arndt was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with minor injuries.

She will be charged with making an improper left hand turn.
