While many of you have been keeping up to date with the weather through WHIZ TV or radio, the Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency is taking part in webinars with the National Weather Service.
Bo Keck of the EMA said they've had two webinars so far, one for last Friday's snow storm and one for today's weather.
"Thet wanted to give a forecast of exactly what's going on and what's coming, which helps us to plan," said Keck. "The one on thursday was right on the money. Everything they said was exactly the way it was going to be. It was very informational to us."
Keck said the webinars are a great way for city and county officials to get together and get on the same page about what weather is coming our way.
He says this particular weather system has the power companies worried.
"The utility companies are very worried about that," he said. "They're watching real close on what they can do, which is really very little. The road crews are working very diligently and they've done a fantastic job so far. They're trying to stay up with it and attack it as it's coming down and try to keep the roads as clear as they possibly can."
The EMA will have another webinar tomorrow at noon.
Keck said these winter webinars have been a good practice for future oneswhich will track severe weather during the summers.
