With Valentine's Day quickly approaching, many hit the mall Thursday in hopes of finding the perfect gift. Several shoppers decided to stick with the classics.
"Well my husband gave me a ruby heart necklace and matching earrings and that comes to mind as probably the nicest, but he used to always get me a heart box of candy," tells Evelyn Trout.
"That's why I got my wife for her first Valentine's Day was chocolate candy," tells Keith Barrick.
"Hard to beat probably chocolate candy, that's always good," says David Sowers.
David and Linda Sowers have been married 38 years and have two children. They say their Valentine's Day usually consists of a nice dinner with their family. They say the key to a good marriage is working at it everyday.
"Hanging in there, it's love, got to be love, this is my Valentine's girl," laughs David Sowers as he puts his arm around his wife.
If you have not purchased a gift yet for your Valentine there are still plenty of options available. As many shoppers said, the gift is not as important as the thought and love behind it.
