College students aren't the only ones celebrating Spring Break.
The Zanesville Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce held its annual Spring Break breakfast banquet to not only celebrate the season but to rejuvenate people's attitude's about work.
"We gave out over 100 awards and that's for accomplishments in workplace safety and for business investment in economic growth and this is a tough time for economic growth obviously but still there were successes in 2009 that we wanted to recognize," President of Chamber of Commerce Tom Poorman said.
Twenty Ace's awards that recognize business development and growth were handed out. Poorman says that's great because even though times are tough businesses are still investing and growing and it's important for them to be honored.
"I think it's really important that a community recognize it's achievements and it's successes collectively and that what we try to do. It's an important business retention activity we thank those businesses for making investments. We also recognize workplace safety because work place safety is really important to individual workers and it's important to employers too for cost control standpoint," Poorman said.
Poorman said they feel it's important to celebrate our areas' businesses accomplishments.
