There is more than just community pride riding on the Blue Devils game.
Judge Fritz Hany of the Ottawa County Municipal Court and Judge Bill Joseph of the Zanesville Municipal Court made a friendly bet on Thursday's game.
"If Zanesville would lose he wants me to wear a 'Wylie the Walleye' costume. They have a community event up there where they have a full body fish suit and I haven't seen it and I hope I don't see it to be honest with you," says Judge Bill Joseph.
If Zanesville wins, Judge Hany will have to don a Zanesville cheerleading uniform in his courtroom Friday. Judge Joseph says he feels confident in betting on the Blue Devils because the team has played great basketball this year. He says a win for the team will be great for the community and he is so confident in the Blue Devils winning, he even called Judge Hany Thursday morning to find out his skirt size.
"He's a great guy, a good judge and I hope to see him that uniform, I am not sure it is going to be a pretty picture, but I am looking forward to seeing him in that uniform," says Judge Joseph.
The Blue Devils will face off against the Port Clinton Red Skins Thursday night at 8:30 p.m.
