We're about a month away from prom season, and Eastside Community Ministry wants to make sure every girl has a dress for the occasion, even if they can't afford one.
"I think everybody, when they're in high school, to go to the prom and look beautiful is something that every girl deserves to be able to do, and we want to be able to help with that, " says event coordinator Sally Goins.
It's holding its first ever Prom Dress Giveaway next Monday, April 5th from 3 to 5 p.m. The dresses will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.
"If the dress fits, it's theirs. They can have it at no charge whatsoever, " says event coordinator Mary Kay Willett.
Avon is also donating 50 bags of cosmetics and jewelry for the event to make sure the girls are prepared for their special night.
