A three-vehicle-accident involving a semi-truck caused a traffic tie-up on State Route 60 Friday evening.
The accident around 6 p.m. at the intersection of 60 and Cutler Lake Road in Duncan Falls, involved a semi, F-250 pick-up truck and a Ford Focus.
"The Ford Focus was traveling southbound on 60 the red F-250 was behind the Ford Focus couldn't get stopped so he went left-of-center in fear of hitting the Ford Focus in the rear end and the semi was traveling northbound seen the red F-250 go
left-of-center and he tried an invasive action to avoid contact with the F-250 and jack-knifed his trailer and struck the Ford Focus," says Trooper Troy Hale, Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol.
Trooper Hale says luckily no one was injured. With the warm weather he says drivers need to focus.
"Pay attention to the road a lot of these accidents happen by driver inattention. The weathers nice, people are focused on different things, what they want to do at home, planning vacation trips, but when you're behind the wheel just focus on one priority and that's driving right now," he says.
The driver of the F-250 was cited for failure to assure clear distance ahead.
