The Ohio Department of Transportation says it wants to "ignite Ohio's economic engine."
It's investing about two billion dollars in construction this year that will cover 16 hundred projects in every county. Some of these projects include: interstate repairs, resurfacing; bridge and culvert upgrades, walkways and biking improvements, and even some waterway projects.
The largest investment, at 450 million dollars, will take place along Interstate 90 in Cleveland.
ODOT says the construction season will also bring about jobs in the Buckeye State.
