A Columbus man is facing felony charges in connection to an armed robbery at a gas station in Hebron.
According to the Licking County Sheriff's Office, the robbery happened around 12:00 p.m. Monday at the Certified Marathon Gas Station on Lancaster Road.
Authorities say 42-year-old Christopher Parks approached 39-year-old Jacinda Collins of Newark and her ex-boyfriend in their vehicle and robbed them both at gunpoint.
The Sheriff's Office reports Parks took $600 in cash from the victims and fled the scene.
An Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper spotted Parks driving on Interstate 70 West and witnessed Parks throwing a firearm out of the passenger side window.
Authorities say Parks stopped his vehicle on the exit ramp to State Route 256 and was arrested.
Parks is currently being held in the Licking County Justice Center on a $100,000 bond.
His case will now go before a Licking County Grand Jury.
