It's time to get up, get off that couch, and ride for your health. May is deemed National Bike Month, and the Licking County Health Department wants to promote a healthy lifestyle that also benefits the environment.

So, Saturday, May 8th, everyone is invited to participate in the "Change Gears: Ride a Bike" event.

Participants will all start at Advantage Fitness, located at 1845 West Main Street in Newark and have the option of choosing among three routes. The first is an eight mile round trip that runs through Granville. The second is an 18 mile round trip through Alexandria. The third is a 30 mile round trip through Johnstown.

If you're interested, there's no fee to participate and you can register by going to www.phplc.org.
