Muskingum County voters speak out when it comes to the County Home. In Tuesday's Primary election the 2.5 mill issue passed by just over 200 votes. The issue has generated lots of talk about whether the Home is really needed in the County and Commissioners decided to lets the voters make the decision. The levy for the Home has never failed. Two other issues also passed last night...a levy for Springfield Township for general construction and a Dresden Bond issue for a new fire truck and equipment.  Commissioner Brian Hill says the vote was close, but it was in no way a mandate to build a new facility.  He says the vote gives the Commissioners time to get the Home's beds certified.  Commissioner John Bates  says its a win-win for everyone.  He says now the Home's beds can be certified which will mean an end to levies and Muskingum County keeps 105 jobs.
