The Wayne Avenue project is nearing completion.
Zanesville Public Service Director, Mike Sims, says in two to three weeks, everything should be back to normal.
"They have almost all the services connected. They have two, four-inch tie-in's they have to make to the main line, and of course, we have the clean-up work, " says Sims.
The project is still causing traffic headaches.
"Especially when we have the concrete trucks in. They're difficult to work around and to go open laneage around. So, there will be periodic short duration closures just like there has been, " says Sims.
But Sims says most people are taking the detours to Moxahala and Putnam avenues that are posted.
While Wayne Avenue will remain open throughout the summer and most of the fall, Sims says expect back-ups again come the end of November between Dulty Lane and Marietta Street for a sewer separation project.
