This weekend you will be able to make a difference in the lives of sick and disabled children.
Golden Corral in Zanesville will host the Great Annual Car Wash of 2010 benefiting the Children's Miracle Network and families who's children are in need of services from Nationwide Children's Hospital.
"Every dollar raised will go toward Nationwide Children's Hospital to help the families of greatest need," said Susan Brewer. "Our mission is for every child, for every reason, regardless of their ability to pay. We're doing everything we can to assist those families who need our help."
Angela Bailey and her three-year old daughter Reagan are one of many families who benefit from the program.
"A lot of times people are unable to pay for services for their special needs children or children with disabilities," said Bailey. "Nationwide Children's is phenomenal because they support every family and it's through generous gifts like this, they're able to do that."
Area boy and girl scout troops will take part in the event, by washing the cars. The Zanesville High School cheerleading squad will also assist the cause.
"We really couldn't do the events without their help," said Golden Corral Service Manager Kenneth Foerman. "It's such a community-based event. All of the stuff we do here, it's critical that we have the community support to pull of the events that we do here."
Last year $9,000 was raised for the organization. Foerman says this year they are shooting for $10,000.
The car wash will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Golden Corral in Zanesville.
