Local scouts and cheerleaders held a carwash today at the Golden Corral to raise money for Children's Miracle Network supporting the Nationwide Children's Hospital. Project Coordinator, Jeffery Brewer, says that cars showed up an hour early to get in line for the carwash. "It's a great community event and supports a great worthy cause," says Brewer.
Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Zanesville High School cheerleaders helped to make this event a great fundraising opportunity.
"Very important because it gets us all together and it's a group project that's for a good cause. 100 percent of the money goes to the Children's Hospital and I think they're all enjoying it," says Assistant Patrol Leader Chance Garvin.
"It feels awesome. I love to help out with the community and meet new people. I love that stuff," says Girl Scout Ona Brewer.
Participants say that there was a steady flow of cars all day long.
