Morgan on Operation Feed Campaign

The rain couldn't keep people away from donating to Operation Feed.

The campaign continued today at Reisbeck's Pick N Save on Howard Street in Zanesville.

"The day is going really well," said Carol Morgan, chairperson of Operation Feed. "People are buying bags and we're really excited about it. A lot of people are coming through and they understand the cause and they're really giving. Sometimes it's larger amounts, so that really excites us, we're really excited about today. "

Area residents could buy a $5 food bag and donate it to the cause. Each bag can feed a family up to three times.

Morgan says after this wraps up, they'll focus on the next fundraiser.

"We've got a cruise in at White Pillars Antique Complex," said Morgan. "That's on June 12. We'll be doing that for Operation Feed as well."

Operation Feed serves 16 food pantries within the area.

This is the third year the organization has teamed up with Pick N Save.
