The Zanesville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol continues its investigation of a Tri-Valley District bus accident that killed six-year-old Kasey King last Wednesday.
Lieutenant Steven Rine says troopers are reviewing all statements that were taken at the scene again, including the initial statement given by the bus driver, Carol Oler.
"The claim of another car or vehicle forced the bus driver off the roadway. So, we're obligated to investigate all allegations or any inuendos on what occurred, " says Lt. Rine.
Lt. Rine says a cruiser is positioned near the scene of the accident to look for the suspect car described in the statement, which is said to be a dark-colored truck.
"We can view license plates. The time frame is exactly the same from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Where we assume the crash occurred at 8:08 a.m. You have to speculate on some of the time since we don't have an eye witness, " says Lt. Rine.
Lt. Rine says they also plan to examine the photographic evidence, re-examine video taken from the bus' camera, and interview the children who were riding the bus that morning.
