Zane State graduates marched proudly today as they received their diplomas.
Zane State's 40th annual commencement ceremony was held today. Proud family, friends, and faculty members were there to celebrate the next step in these graduates' lives.
"This is a big milestone in their life, they've worked hard to earn their degrees and that's going to open a lot of doors for them and we're proud of the fact that they've graduated from this college and we feel that we've prepared them very well for additional responsibilities and for a quality of life," says Zane State President, Dr. Paul Brown.
Students graduating from Zane state have had continued success in finding jobs. Commencement speaker, United States Senator Sherrod Brown sends a message of hope to Zane State graduates in a time where most are struggling.
"This school is known as a terrific school and ranked number nine among community colleges in the US and students here should be particularly proud because their graduation rate is significantly higher than other community colleges. Typically, this college reaches out to veterans and people have a real opportunity graduating here that they wouldn't have had if Zane State weren't here," says Senator Brown.
The ceremony was held in Littick Hall Gymnasium at the college.
